Paper and light / 2007 / 25 x 30 cm

This piece was created using the traditional Japanese art of origami – paper folding – a single sheet of paper forms a boat sailing on a river of light; a light shining from below exposes a landscape heretofore unknown to the amazed spectator who is oblivious to its existence when the light is turned off.
